Any way you slice it
Substitute unsweetened applesauce in place of fats for your cakes, muffins and even brownies, cutting the fat down by 3/4. Applesauce keeps the treat moist, without the added fat.
29. Add a cup of diced tart apple to your salad for added crunch and texture. Or add thin slices of apple to your ham sandwich.
30. Apples are a perfect complement to roast pork. But they're just as awesome when used in chicken recipes.

My grandpa and I have been baking oatmeal raisin cookies, chocolate chip cookies, zucchini bread, and brownies! My favorite thing to bake would be zucchini bread because it take lots of time and hard work. Its just really fun to mix all the ingredients! I love cracking eggs for the recipe, because you need to be careful not to have any little pieces of the shell in your food. Most of the time I get just the egg in there, but once or twice I got some of the shell in there and my grandpa had to get it out. Once when we were baking cookies, I got to mix all the ingredients with my hands. It was really fun and having my grandpa just shake his head laughing and smiling made it fun for me to do.
My grandpa is an awesome teacher. He shows me and then he lets me do the rest all by myself. more
